Operating hours of Danube cruises in Budapest

Daily and Seasonal Departure Hours

Peak season (May to October + holidays in December to early January)

During these months cruises operate throughout the day and until late at night. Daytime cruises depart almost every hour from around 10:30 to 17:30. Evening cruises (sunset and night sightseeing) typically depart between 18:00 and 20:00. Late night cruises usually run at 20:30 and 22:00. During the December holiday period the frequency is usually similar to peak season.

Shoulder seasons - Spring and Fall (March to April + late September to October)

During the shoulder seasons there are departures both during the day and in the evening but at a lower frequency compared with summer. Daytime cruises typically run between 11:00 and 17:00 at intervals of one to two hours. Evening cruises operate between 18:00 and 20:00, sometimes with only one departure per day depending on the company.

Low season - Winter (November to February, excluding December holidays)

Day cruises are limited and start only around 11:00 to 15:30. Evening cruises in winter usually have a single departure around 17:00 to 19:00 depending on when it gets dark. In January and February some companies reduce frequency and operate mostly a single evening departure per day.
