About This Cruise

Budapest Sightseeing Daytime Cruise - Starts from 11:00 AM

We took this boat tour about six months ago and it is definitely a cruise we recommend. It is a one-hour sightseeing trip operated by Budapest Sightseeing Kft, running throughout the day between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The boat is new and modern, offering a covered lower deck (with panoramic windows for the best views) and an open upper deck. We chose to spend most of the time on the open deck to enjoy the sights along the way. Since this is a very popular cruise, it was a bit crowded and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend arriving as early as possible to secure a good spot.

The departure point is Dock 6 (located between Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge). From there, the boat follows a circular one-hour route, passing by the Hungarian Parliament, the Chain Bridge, Gellért Hill (Statue of Liberty, Citadella), the Castle District (Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion), Margaret Island, Castle Hill, and continuing south to MÜPA - Palace of Arts, the National Theater, several universities and the Central Market Hall.

The ticket price is around €15 per person. Food and drinks are not included, but you can purchase them on board if you wish. Free Wi-Fi is also available on the boat. If you are looking for a classic daytime cruise in Budapest, this is certainly one of the best options. You can book it from here.
