This 2.5-hour dinner cruise is operated by the well-known company Legenda, one of the largest here in Budapest. It includes a full four-course meal, a three-course menu for children, one complimentary drink of your choice, and live music. The cruise departs every evening at 19:00 from Dock 7 (look for the Legenda City Cruises sign), located in a very central area of the Budapest piers between Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge.

The cruise takes place on a stylish, modern boat surrounded by panoramic windows with beautiful ambient lighting. As soon as we boarded, we received a welcome drink and were immediately shown to our table by the attentive staff. In the background, a live band was already playing soft, pleasant music. The dishes we received were very tasty and varied. We would have preferred slightly larger portions, but overall, the meal was perfectly fine.

The cruise itself was excellent, and since it is longer than the standard sightseeing tours, you get to see many more of Budapest’s famous landmarks beautifully illuminated at night. Among the highlights are the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Margaret Island, Statue of Liberty, the Citadella (Gellért Hill), Palace of Arts (MÜPA), National Theatre, Vigadó Concert Hall, Chain Bridge, Margaret Bridge, and Erzsébet Bridge.

While this dinner cruise is relatively expensive at around €110 per adult and €85 per child (ages 3 to 12), the value for money is outstanding, and we believe it is well worth the price.
