8 PM is an excellent time to take a boat tour in Budapest, and many travelers choose this hour. It is the time when the city’s most famous landmarks along the Danube, such as the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, and the city’s iconic bridges, are beautifully illuminated.
If the weather is not too cold, we recommend taking a good seat on the upper deck of the boat, which is open and offers perfect panoramic views of the city. Keep in mind that to get a good spot, you should arrive at the dock early, at least 20 to 30 minutes before departure, to secure a place in line.
