If you are looking for a daytime cruise that is more exciting than a simple sightseeing trip, we highly recommend one of our favorite cruises in Budapest - a brunch cruise that includes a full meal on board and is considered one of the most popular among travelers from around the world.
The cruise operates on Saturdays only and follows this schedule: you can board the boat from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM and enjoy a full brunch on board. At 12:00 PM, the boat departs for a one-hour route along the Danube. The entire experience lasts about two and a half hours in total.
We have taken this cruise more than once, and every time the meal was excellent and varied. The buffet is rich, featuring both Hungarian and international dishes (such as fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade jams, chicken liver pâté, fresh Kaiser rolls, and more), light desserts, and a glass of prosecco. The departure point is Széchenyi rkp. 6, a very central location in the city, not far from the famous Shoes on the Danube memorial. During the cruise, you will pass by landmarks such as the Chain Bridge, Gellért Hill, and the striking Hungarian Parliament Building as seen from the river.
