Budapest Danube Brunch Cruises

Tickets, Prices and Info

A brunch cruise In Budapest is one of our favorite cruises and it is an ideal way to combine a pleasant daytime sail on the Danube with a full meal on the boat. We personally tried this specific cruise operated by Tiqets, but we intend very soon to try additional brunch cruises in Budapest and publish the full review here.

Here are all our recommendations for brunch boat cruises in Budapest:

What should you expect?

Unlike the very popular dinner cruises, brunch cruises in Budapest are less common here and only a few companies offer this option, which is a shame. So what awaits you on the cruise? Well, the cruise we took was a cruise by Hungaria Koncert that offers an excellent brunch combining traditional Hungarian dishes with a classic menu that will suit everyone.

The cruise operates only on Saturdays and departs at 10:30 in the morning from the central docking area on the Danube, not far from the famous Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial. The meal is served in buffet style, very varied and very tasty. The menu included a variety of cooked eggs in different styles, dairy and seasoned spreads, jams and honey, a seasonal fruit salad, a selection of non pork cold cuts, chicken liver pâté, four types of cheese, fresh vegetables and various baked goods such as toasts, rolls, croissants and sweet pastries.

It is worth noting that although the total time of the experience is about two and a half hours, the cruise itself is a one hour cruise only, and the meal on the boat takes place before the cruise. The meal opens from 10:30 in the morning and ends at 12:00 noon when the cruise itself begins. You can arrive at any time you want between 10:30 and 12:00 but remember that the cruise is one hour only and departs at 12:00.

How much will it cost you?

The price of the cruise ranges between 54 euros for a regular brunch cruise or about 85 euros for a brunch cruise that includes unlimited Prosecco.

Know before you go

  • If you purchase tickets in advance, in most cases you can cancel the cruise and receive a full refund up to 24 hours before the arrival date.
  • There are no reserved seats and the cruise operates on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend arriving early before 10:30 so you can take the best seats on the boat. We arrived there at 10:00 in the morning and managed to get an excellent spot on the boat.
