The Budapest Party Cruise is one of the most popular attractions for young people in the city and is highly sought after by both tourists and locals here. It offers a full party experience with a lively atmosphere that continues even after the cruise at a well-known nightclub in the city. We already tried it once ourselves and can warmly recommend it.
So what is it all about? This is a cruise by Budapest Boat Party, running all year round every Friday and Saturday evening, starting at 20:30. The cruise lasts about 2 hours and features a vibrant dance party with a live DJ and drinks served throughout the evening (the number of drinks depends on the package you choose at booking. We went for the unlimited drinks package). All of this takes place against the backdrop of Budapest’s stunning night views along the Danube.
The boat regularly fills up with dozens of young participants looking to dance, have fun, and meet new people. During the party, a photographer also moves around the boat taking pictures of the guests. But the experience doesn’t end there. Once the boat returns, your ticket includes both transport and skip-the-line entry to an afterparty at the Morrisons 2 nightclub. We personally didn’t continue on, but we heard from others that it was great fun.
The atmosphere on the boat was really enjoyable, and we even met some new, friendly people. The boat was clean and organized, and the staff were present and attentive throughout. Perhaps the only downside was that the restrooms could have been cleaner. Another minor note is that the cruise started a little later than scheduled. Overall, though, it was a fantastic cruise experience and one we strongly recommend to anyone looking for a unique night out in Budapest.
