If you are looking for a short daytime cruise in Budapest, this tour is one of the best and most recommended options. It is a 1-hour sightseeing cruise operated by Eurama Sightseeing City Tours Budapest, running throughout the day (from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM) on a boat with both covered and open seating areas to choose from.
This cruise is very popular among tourists in Budapest, and you will find travelers from all over the world on board. One feature we really liked is the 24-hour ticket validity. This means that if you miss your scheduled time or cannot make it for any reason, your ticket will still be valid for the following day. This flexibility is definitely an advantage when planning your trip.
When we took the cruise, the audio guide on the boat was a little weak, and at times it was difficult to hear clearly with people talking around us. The explanations could still be followed, but we hope the crew will improve this in the future.
The departure point is Dock 6, in the heart of Budapest’s Danube pier area, located between the Chain Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge. The boat makes a circular route and returns to the same point. Along the way, you will pass by the Hungarian Parliament and the view above Margaret Bridge, the Castle District (Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion), Gellért Hill (Statue of Liberty and Citadella), the southern bridges of Budapest, the National Theatre, the Palace of Arts (MÜPA), several universities and the Central Market Hall.
The ticket price is €13 per person. Since seats are not reserved and work on a first-come, first-served basis, we strongly recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. Tickets can be booked in advance through the following page.
